Pies baked in the flakiest of crusts — that’s the goal of this Pie Class. I’ll share with you the secrets to making flaky crusts (including a 100% freshly milled option). You’ll learn how to create an impressive lattice top and basic edgings. Use these skills to make delicious dessert pies, savory meat pies or miniature pot pies. Your take-home packet of materials will include instructions on my 4 favorite dessert pies, a chicken pot pie recipe, and instructions on how to prepare and freeze your pies for baking later.

This class includes a hands-on experience where you will prepare enough pie dough for 2 single-crust pies, or one 2-crust pie.

What to bring: 9” pie plate, 2 sticks butter (not margarine). You will prepare enough pie dough for 2 single crust pies or a 2-crust pie. You will prepare a one-crust pie plate at the class (with another crust to use at home or freeze for later use). Please bring a small box or container to safely transport home your prepared pie crust.

Flaky crusts = delicious pies! Pie served at the class. 😊
