Introduction to Organic Gardening: Choosing & preparing your site, composting & mulching, trellising, container & raised bed gardening, natural growth boosters & pest control. For beginner and experienced gardeners.
Introduction to Wild Herb Harvesting: Identifying edible and medicinal plants in your yard; how to harvest and preserve.
Introduction to Herbal Teas: Preparing nutrient-rich and healing teas to boost your family's health.
Introduction to Tinctures: Preparing tinctures from your garden herbs and wild harvested herbs.
Introduction to Salves: Preparing herbal salves from your harvested herbs.
This class begins outdoors at my garden site in Brook Park, then moves indoors for the remainder of the class. This multi-subject class provides a wealth of introductory information on a variety of related topics. The end goal is to provide participants with the knowledge to immediately put into practice the information and skills learned.
Take-home starter comfrey plants. Please bring a small box or container.
