


Anaerobic Fermentation
This class introduces the benefits and "how to" of anaerobic fermentation, utilizing the Brewing America fermentation lid system. We’ll look at the history of this food preservation technique, how it works, and how probiotic-rich, mold-free fermented veggies created in your kitchen can boost your health.
I’ll demonstrate how to make sauerkraut, followed by a hands-on time in the kitchen, where you will make Beet Kvass (a probiotic-rich beverage taken daily as a “shot” of probiotics).
Class fee includes the fermentation lid system ($20 value) and organic produce to make your own fermented veggie. Participants are required to bring a 1- or 2-quart wide-mouth Mason jar (no lid) and a small box or similar container for safely carrying your filled jar home.
